Operating Principle:
The Mk III utilizes an “Interrogator-Transponder” (Acoustic Duplex) mode, calculating slant range through Time-of-Flight (ToF). This duplex communication mechanism eliminates the need for satellite time-sync required by the Mk II, ensuring long-term positioning stability.
